Nostradamus and
Prince William

The Last King of England?

    Did Nostradamus mention anything about England's Prince William and the royal family? Although Nostradamus prophecies usually reference the throne of France, events on the British throne can also closely tie to events in France. In the quatrain below Nostradamus seems to have tuned in to the unusual situation that would develop in the U.K. in 2022 as an aging Queen grew more frail and the question of the proper heir to the British throne became a subject of great public interest.

     NOSTRADAMUS QUATRAIN #3 - 16

   An English prince, his passion set on flying,

   Un prince Anglais, Mars a son coeur de ciel,

   Will wish to pursue his good fortune;

   Voudra poursuivre la fortune prospere;

   Of his two rivals, one will pierce him with hatred,

   De deux duelles, l'un percera le feil,

   Disliked by them, but much loved by the mother.

   Hay de luy, bien aime de sa mere.

   For years Britain's Prince William, his younger brother Harry, and their father Prince Charles had always lived a strained relationship that the prophet Nostradamus may have been describing here. The Queen however, seemed to have formed her own opinions on the individual abilities of her progeny to serve the British people. She deeply admired the abilities of Prince William, who desired to become a pilot, and granted the young prince an expanded role in overseeing certain aspects of the British government. The question was who would she choose to be her successor?

   The question of who would succeed Elizabeth II centered around some serious ethical and moral issues surrounding Prince Charles who was the primary heir to her throne. The matter of the Prince's history with Princess Diana, and also his marriage to a divorcee who still had a living spouse when she married the prince, were major issues. The situation was reminiscent of the constitutional crisis that developed in 1936 when Edward VIII wanted to wed an American divorcee, Wallis Simpson, who had two previous spouses still living. The king is also nominal head of the Church of England and expected to represent the high moral and ethical standards befitting a king, so Edward decided to abdicate the British throne in favor of his younger brother Albert.

   The question was, would the Queen choose to maintain the high standards of God, or would she instead choose to follow the standards of men? And even if the Queen did decided to allow Charles to inherit her throne, would the British people accept Charles as their king? And would God also allow it? The prophetic destiny of the tribe of Joseph, the English-speaking people, will always depend upon the quality of its leaders.
