Every month we will add a new Nostradamus quatrain to this website. Our featured prophecy for
the month of September, 2010 is Quatrain # 2-64 from Nostradamus' famous book the Centuries Each new
prophecy represents one more link in the great chain that forms the history of mankind. The quatrains
of Nostradamus cover the period of history from 1555 to 2055 AD., describing in great detail many
previously unrevealed events in world history that have eluded historians for decades. In these
mysterious four-line poems, Nostradamus reveals to us the truth behind some of the world's greatest
mysteries. We can now know the fate of the so-called "Lost Dauphine" (the son of Louis XVI and Marie
Antoinette), and solve the mystery of why King Francis II died so young on the French throne. Our
religious leaders tell us that in the Last Days all such hidden truths will finally be revealed. Could it be that
the Last Days are finally upon us? This month's quatrain adds one more piece to the puzzle of our destiny:
NOSTRADAMUS QUATRAIN #2-64
Suffering from hunger and thirst, the men of Geneva
Seicher de faim, de soif, gent Genovoise
Desparately hoping, but arriving at despair;
Espoir prochain viendra au defaillir;
Fearing they will be under the laws of Spain,
Sur point tremblant sera loi Gebenoise,
The fleet not welcomed in the great harbor.
Classe au grand port ne se peult accuellir.

In this quatrain Nostradamus tells us about the turmoil and human suffering caused by the sudden arrival of the Spanish Armada in the harbor at Holland in 1664. The Protestant religious organizers of John Calvin had been gaining power in Holland, and the Catholic king Philip II of Spain decided to make this bold show of naval strength in order to maintain his hold on the low countries. The Protestant Calvinists were directing the Reformation in Holland from the security of the politically neutral city of Geneva, Switzerland, but this bold move by Philip acted to interrupt the normal flow of food and other vital supplies to their stronghold in Geneva.
King Philip II had originally ruled from a throne in the the Netherlands, and then had transferred his throne to Spain. The Protestants quietly took control of the Netherlands in his absense. Philip's bold move to regain control of the Netherlands resulted in food panics in the Protestant areas of the Netherlands and Switzerland and caused great suffering for the Dutch reformers.
Once again Nostradamus describes another great event in history.
